This morning
Dr Egner was happy with everything and did not make any changes...Mommy and I did
KMC for a little while but then had to stop because I kept
desaturating ...I also had an episode of
apnea while mommy was holding me...It was discovered that I had another chest infection...I was put on antibiotics to treat the infection...I had to be
suctioned quite a bit today and my nose bled a bit...Tonight I had an extended episode of
apnea from which I did not recover on my own...all my monitors went to zero...I had to be
resuscitated and
Dr Egner was called out...He managed to stablise me again...I was given medicine to stimulate my heart as well... Dr Egner waited a while to see if I was okay, he said if I battled again he would put me back on the ventilator...he left about 20 minutes later...I started struggling again...after a few minutes the NICU staff called Dr Egner to come see me again...he decided it was best to
re-intubate me rather than tired me out like this...It was a very distressing evening...I was so tired and slept nicely once I was back on the ventilator...my feed was stopped for now as well...
